911 call captures chaos after shooting after gender reveal party
CINCINNATI – The family gathered on Saturday to celebrate a future life.
But Sunday morning, they began to think about planning a funeral and grieving for the loss of a fetus.
A 21-year-old mother-to-be invited her friends and relatives to her house in Colerain Township on the 9900 block walkway to reveal that she was pregnant and give birth to a baby.
The match was over, but more than a dozen were left behind. The group had just turned on the lights to watch a “Spider-Man” movie when two men in sweaters had come through the front door.
They fumigated the room with the shots, said a member of the family who was in the party and asked not to be identified because he feared for their safety.

Autum Garrett, 22, Huntington, Ind., Died and eight others were injured, including three children aged 8, 6 and 2. Two adults were hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Sunday evening.
Garrett suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene. Police have made no arrests Sunday night.
The children were not seriously injured and treated at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, said Mark Denney, chief of police for Colerain Township. I did not know if the children were hospitalized Sunday night.
“I wish to express our deepest condolences to the victims and families of the tragedy last night,” he said. “This is an important issue when there is a shot of three children.”
No one was arrested Sunday afternoon. Denney said authorities had not yet developed a pattern. He refused to name the other victims, but said they were cooperating with all the police. Police have also provided a description of the suspects.
“We interviewed those who were capable of medical examination,” he said, adding that he could not confirm the loss of the fetus, but he had seen the reports.

One family member said that Garrett is a cousin of the pregnant woman who lost her fetus after being shot in the thigh. She had been discharged Sunday morning.
Four other relatives, including three other children, attended the party but were not injured.
Denney said police found a firearm outside the home, but it was not used in the shooting. Two guns were used in the shooting and there was no fire response, he said. I did not know how many shots were fired.
Denney said eight of his officers worked overnight on the case. Cincinnati Police and the attending federal authorities.
“We are just at the beginning of this stage,” Denney told a news conference Sunday afternoon. “There are many more questions that I can not answer as I can.”
